Wrong In All The Right Ways
If your operating system has been wrecked before, any new issues make you wonder.
Is this related to that big one?
Often, it is unrelated.
But you look through a different filter once it happens.
Everything is post-wreck view.
And so it is, with many of us, with tread on our tires.
Our reality.
Any time something goes awry, we tend to blame the big one.
It's a lens I wear now.
Old folks used to say things like "My bum knee is acting up again."
And as a youngin, you wouldn't understand.
It was almost funny.
And as an old(ish) man, well my bum knee acts up.
Not all the time, you see.
Just when it's in a mood to act up.
And that's interesting right?
We are a system onto ourselves.
Often cooperating, but constantly fighting.
Cycling.
Iterating.
Good days.
Bad days.
Every day, a good 'un.
Sometimes, you have to kill a part of you, so the rest can live.
I'm talking literally and figuratively, here.
As I am wont to do.
I have.
You have, too.
Or will, if you live long enough.
To everyone who's still out there kickin' after taking a lickin'.
And if you find yourself wrapping your hands for yet another fight, know that I'm in your corner.
Well, more likely, at home on my couch, eating delicious Korean food, watching you on the big screen.
And rooting.
This Coke Zero's for you.
🍻
There is no tomorrow.
Fight for it anyway.
