Keep On

When is the happiest you have ever been?

As a stoic curmudgeon, this is an interesting question to me.

And so I ask it of you.

When were you the happiest?

Brightest eyed?

Bushiest-taileded?

He made it an -est word for emphasis and added extra -ed at the end of tailed for (hopeful) comedic effect.

Is it now?

Or in childhood?

Or perhaps, as it could be, it has yet to happen?

Still though, the happiest moment thus far.

What was it?

What is it?

A single moment?

A single season?

A single run?

I will tell you, if you can keep a secret, that all of my happiest moments have occurred after I fell out.

After my nuclear fall out.

☢

After I almost touched God.

It's funny how you realize how trivial most things are once things get serious.

Having a come to Jesus moment, but hoping you don't get to meet the man Himself.

Just yet.

Just yet.

This truck's got a lot of miles on it.

But it's a good truck.

A lot of life left in it.

I hope.

Is he referring to himself as an automobile?

I hope.

But, if it's not the case, I want to tell you something.

The happiest I have ever been is right now.

This era.

This phase.

This iteration.

Just jipper.

So thankful for what has come, what will come, and what is.

Amen.

😋

Keep on, my fellow vehicle.
