We Still Do
You ever watch videos about some old retired Marine boxer knocking out some would-be crook?
Like this old fella you wouldn't think much of looking at, just rocking a fool to sleep.
Nighty night.
I would watch them in silent admiration.
Good for you, old man.
You still got it.
Hands are the last thing to go.
And I suppose that's the fate of every man blessed to age past their youth.
When they reach a seasoning where other men no longer find them dangerous upon sight.
And I know that there's a whole school of thought about how being dismissed as weak is actually a benefit, but I dunno.
I dunno.
Thankfully, we have all these force multipliers.
Makes a fight even, even when it ain't.
I'd encourage all of you to look into them, if you haven't.
Follow the law, of course.
...
I do wonder, if I'm honest, if I still got it.
I wonder if you do, too.
...
May you and I never have the need to find out.
But if we do, may we find we still do.
And then some.
🤜🤛
"I need you mountain lion mean."
