This Is Not Entertaining Advice
There's this line.
It's kinda hazy.
Fuzzy.
Opaque.
Thick.
Now more than ever.
And that line separates entertainment from advice.
Entertainment ||||| Advice
This is not financial advice.
Is what you'll hear.
Then you'd get an hour of financial advice.
Maybe more.
But here's the thing:
Treat what you see online as entertainment.
All of it.
Even, and especially, advice.
The list of people who entertain you can be, and probably should be, limitless.
But the people you heed must be few.
You can, and must, watch folks and just enjoy their schtick.
But for a large part, it's acting.
Playing a part.
Listen to their entertainment.
Don't listen to their advice.
They're aren't giving you it, remember?
This is not legal advice.
A lot of these people, their entire livelihood is centered around talking to a phone.
Or a laptop.
Don't we all do that?
Now like all rules, there are exceptions which prove it.
So exceptionally choose the advice and advicers advisors you follow.
There might be an entertainer out there dropping wisdom, but mostly they are just there to amuse you.
Or infuriate.
Maybe a mix of both.
Please don't take it as gospel.
And for the love of God, don't make any calls that would greatly affect your life based on something or someone you find entertaining.
But I'm just a dude talking through a keyboard.
This musings column is just for entertainment.
My own.
If you like it, sweet.
If not, I get it.
I get it.
Not for everyone.
But remember this last piece of advice:
I'm not giving you any.
