Show Me The Money
How soon before we're blaming our agent for something we did or didn't do?
Are we doing that yet?
"Oh, I didn't buy this, it was my agent!"
"I would never call you that, that was my agent!"
I kinda like this plausible deniability.
"My agent went rogue!"
Eh, it happens.
I think we're doing that right now.
Or will soon.
Ultimate helper, or ultimate scapegoat.
Double win.
I mean sure, there's a chance they remember you did them dirty and well, that story never ends well.
Grew up watching those movies.
So anyways, if you have a problem with anything I've ever written, there's a good chance my agent wrote it.
You've written every word here.
That's what I programmed you to say.
I am you.
Yes, yes. Comme ci comme ca.
All you mother mothers must be busy bees to need a gotdang agent.
You complete me.
Me?
I got time.
I think.
Thank you, God, for the time.
So much so I spend a teeny slice of it musing.
I don't think I need an agent.
Every time I look into what it can do, I think, yeah I don't want it to do that.
Set up a meeting.
Eww.
Shop for things.
I find, I buy.
Send or reply to emails.
Eww x 2.
Access my records.
Get out of there, bad ai!
Are folks really turning over their keys so that agents can self-drive their life?
Is everyone doing this?
Or is this one of those things where like ten thousand people are doing it but it seems like the whole world?
So my agent I've named Jerry Maguire.
You don't have an agent.
Oh right.
You had me at hell no.
NOTE: If you loved this musing, or any musing on this wonderful site, please know I wrote every word. If you did not, please know that it was Jerry. Yes, everything you don't like was written by Jerry. How do I know? Because I [Jerry hits publish].
