Gold Magic
If you were a song, what song would you be?
I mean, what's your anthem?
Your theme song?
Your entrance song?
Your exit song?
"When it comes your time to die,
be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray
for a little more time to live their lives
over again in a different way.
Sing your death song
and die like a hero going home."
I mean, we got Sirius, from Alan Parsons.
Something by Tool.
Something by Pac.
Space Lord by Monster Magnet.
The clean version of the song's chorus goes "Space Lord, Mother, Mother."
Which I thought quirky and unique.
Only later did I realize that the original version had a crass word, and they used "Mother" twice instead of "Mother Bleeper."
But you know what?
I like Mother, Mother better.
Space Lord Mother Mother.
So I'd use the clean version.
My wife says the song's dirty.
Even clean.
And I suppose I am, too.
Dirty even clean.
🎵 "Take a sip from my secret potion,
I'll make you fall in love." 🎶
Hey!!!
We should have songs that define us.
Songs that just make us happy.
When we enter a room.
And when we leave it.
And everything in between.
🎵 "I could write it better than you ever felt it." 🎶
Hallelujah.
🎵 "I'm coming out the other side stronger.
One foot in front of the other.
Hands still raising.
Heart still praising." 🎶
Hallelujah, mother mothers.
