Cats And Stovetops

If you met a person, and they were evil, does that mean all people are evil?

No, of course not.

But listen.

Listen.

If you met a pastor, and that pastor was evil, would you think all pastors were evil and so was religion?

If you met a cop, and that cop was evil, would you think all cops were evil?

That the law was?

What about strangers?

What about politicians?

Bosses?

The rich?

The next time you judge a person, either end, I ask that you consider the following:

Who have they run into, to turn the way they've turned?

Who soured them on noble professions and titles?

Who soured them on God?

Have their experiences led them to this conclusion?

The difficulty is separating the person from their symbology.

They are just humans.

Human is and human does.

Even with a fat title.

And many evil have known the best way to hide it is under a wonderful symbol.

Atrocious things done under the name of something beautiful.

Something sacred.

I believe most people are good.

And that one rotten apple doesn't spoil the bunch.

Although it can.

But sometimes it only takes one bite to understand everyone has an angle.

Still, apples are delicious.

Worms and all.

Keep chomping.
