All Of This Is A Love Letter

When you get a note from your child that starts with "To the best daddy in the world," well it's enough to make a grown man cry.

I don't share this to brag.

At least about myself.

I'm not the best daddy in the world.

I'm sure there's one or two better.

I brag because of the heart of my children.

Of my family.

As a former loner, I never used to NEED anyone.

But I see that's no longer true.

If it ever was.

Praise God.

I need help.

From the people I love.

To do what they've always done since day one.

Take care of me.

As I have them.

An imperfect circle.

But one my mind has to come to grips with.

And not feel so ashamed about.

Let them help me.

Feel emboldened and empowered by their help.

And so that's the lesson for today.

Help others help you.

Love,

The luckiest daddy in the world (I am willing to share this title, dads).
